Demons with Humans' Faces

I am taken aback by what happened in the Capital of the country on Sunday, or should I say the rape capital of the country?

A 23-year-old physiotherapy student was gang raped in a moving private bus and made to go through hell. And this happened out of the desperation that the six friends had to enjoy their weekend.

The Bus driver Ram Singh went out with his friends in a school bus with back curtains. The girl and her friend were called and given proper tickets. This bus was not permitted for transport use. This pretty nubile girl was a bright student and wanted to reach Dwarka Mor. After they got in, the male friend was hit by a rod on his head for trying to protect his friend. The girl was raped  by the driver and his friends, one by one, while the bus was moving continuously in the posh areas of Delhi and NCR. After raping the girl badly, one of the rapist inserted a very long rod in her vagina which almost killed the poor girl. She was then thrown out of the bus, all injured and nude, like her male friend.

She was lying in the middle of the busy street of Delhi in an unimaginably bad condition. But no one really bothered helping the girl or even trying to cover her for an hour before the police could rush to help her.

The girl's vagina, small and large intestine and the ribs are completely damaged. The girl has been crying continuously, whenever not unconscious, and is in a very critical condition. She underwent 4 surgeries.

I do not deny the possibility of the BJP demand of death penalty for the rapists being a publicity stunt, but I am  happy that they at least raised their voices against this cruel act. I, personally, do not support violence, but today I feel it is necessary to kill those lowlifes the way they almost killed the poor girl. It is necessary to telecast it on the national television to give out a clear and strong message that such lowlifes deserve what they made the poor girl undergo. They need to be given the same punishment, the punishment they gave to the girl for boarding the wrong bus. This would be a warning for all those who ever think of committing such an offense.

What will the world be like, with these human faced demons? Raise your voices against such culprits. Don't be so indifferent about such issues. It could have been your family member, could have been someone you are friends with, and of course, could have been you. Let's raise our voices to ensure safety to all females in our country.

That's the World Around Me..

Today I know about the Olympic that took place in London, the strike that hit the South African mine idle, the murder case that sent the wife of the Chinese politician behind the bars, the blasphemy arrest in Pakistan, the blast in Turkey, and almost everything that has happened or is happening everywhere across the globe. And this is all thanks to the reporters who cover all the happenings.
They try and cover the most dangerous events to give us first hand and live information. Obviously, terrorists do not attack every day, Tendulkar does not score a century every day, Olympics is not held every day, neither are wars an everyday event nor are economic depressions and falling interest rates. But the reporters still manage doing a stupendous job. They manage pitching interesting stories and footages every day.
So the question is how do they manage doing this "mind boggling job"?
By intruding into individuals personal life. Journalists try to find out the most private information about individuals against their will and make it a public joke to get more viewers . And most importantly to ensure that they sustain in the highly competitive industry.
So What next?
By  recording on their highly sophisticated digicams a man burning himself to death without trying to stop him from doing so,  recording a girl being gang raped for minutes together without trying to save her or without trying to inform the police with the greed of not missing a highly sensational video clip.
And then what do we hear them say on news channels? Many people surrounded the place but no one actually came forward to help the person... blah blah blah...
And what did the reporters do? Needless to say, "An excellent job". Something they should be proud of. Something for which they get their fat pays!
It is these sensational clips which earn them their daily bread and recognition. But the only question is can we digest such food which is at the cost of someone's life and happiness? There's one thing that one must never forget, one may be trapped in such situations at any point in time. And the obvious expectation on has is to have Humans act as Humans. But the unfortunate fact is that career and profession have erased all the emotions in our hearts.
The three things which differentiate humans from animals are love, kindness, and social intelligence. But sadly profession has taken over.
I'd like to end this with just  question to everyone, what comes first profession or humanity?
